FAQs
What time is check in and check out?
Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 11am. If you wanted to arrive earlier or leave later, please let us know beforehand
Do you allow day guests?
We do allow day guests for an additional charge of £10 per person. We ask that they check out from the site by 8pm
Do you allow BBQs?
We do allow BBQs but we ask that all fires are kept off the ground. We have fire pits available to rent from our check in desk for £20, which includes a £10 deposit that is refunded to you upon returning the fire pit at the end of your stay. We also provide firewood that you can purchase from the check in desk for £10 a bucket. Both the fire pits and fire wood are provided on a first come first serve basis.
Do you have electric hook up?
No, we do not provide electric hook up. We are an off grid campsite and prefer that our guests enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
How do I book a pitch next to other members in my group?
We currently do not have set pitches in our camping field as we are quite a large site so you should be able to pitcj up next to one another on arrival.
Do you allow dogs?
We are a dog friendly campsite, but we do ask that dogs are kept under control at all times, particularly around our farm animals. We also have three boarder collies who like to roam freely around the campsite. They will likely come and say hello to your dog so we do recommend that if you bring your dog to stay that they are happy to play with other dogs
Do you allow caravans/motorhomes?
Our farm is located along one-way country roads. We also have an uphill, bumpy farm track at our site entrance and for this reason we do not accommodate larger vehicles that will struggle on this type of terrain. We do allow smaller camper vans and car box tents.
Do you allow exclusive hire of areas on the campsite for group bookings?
We typically do not allow exclusive hire of areas on the campsite, but as the site is quite large, there is usually enough space to pitch up next to one another on arrival and create your own group space. If you are wanting to book in a larger group, please contact us beforehand so we can ensure we can accommodate you.
Where do I park my car?
We allow you to drive onto the camping field and park up next to where you wish to pitch. However, we ask that once you have parked that you do not drive again until absolutely necessary and when driving in the field to keep to our speed limit of 5mph to 8mph. Please be aware of children, other campers and animals while driving. We ask you not to drive your car in the field after dark. If you are arriving after dark having arranged a later check in with us, then we would recommend pitching at the edge of the camping field. Please see our site rules for more details
Do you lock the campsite at night?
Yes, the gates are usually locked after 8pm - although this is subject to change on our busier weekends. Do let us know if you are checking in after that time.
Where are the bell tents located?
The bell tents are located in our main camping field alongside the regular pitches. We ask that regular camping guests provide at least a 10m space away from the bell tents when pitching up their tents.

Bell tent rental is ideal for larger groups as you can have a mix of bell tents and regular camping who can then pitch up alongside your bell tents.
Where can I find the animals?
Our alpacas are free roaming in our fields - you can often spot them by following the public footpaths through the woodland to the fields behind the campsite.
We have three pigs named dolly, dotty and mildred and you can find them in the pen that is adjacent to the camping field.

Our farm dogs are called Millie, Bob and Freddie and are very friendly and playful.

We have three goats that are free roaming called Myrtle, Martha and Arthur. We do ask that you keep your distance from these goats, they are very friendly but they do not like it when you stroke their heads and can headbutt.

On busier weekends will often host an authentic pizza van or other food truck. We do try to email beforehand to let you know if a food truck is on site for the weekend you are staying.
Or you can book a table at the Royal Standard Pub which is a short 5 to 10 minute walk away from the campsite. It is known as the oldest freehouse in England and serves some lovely food. The food path can be found through the gate behind our smaller camping field. When you go through the second gate take an immediate left an follow the footpath straight to the end and the Royal Standard is just on your right hand side along the road.

If you don't fancy a pre-cooked meal, remember to stock up on BBQ food before you come along and enjoy cooking your own sausages and burgers under the stars.
